Honey?

Does anyone know of a local beekeeper/honey seller withing 10 miles of College Park, MD?
I am having trouble finding one and I need some local honey to help with allergies.

These guys -- http://www.beefolks.com/index.asp -- are close, but not that close. They do have good honey. They might know of other producers closer to you. Or check out a farmer's market. According to About.com, there is one in Columbia:
Dobbins Center Farmers' Market
Dobbin Road & Route 175
Columbia, MD 21046
May - November
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
Contact: Irene Glass
(410) 964-2020

See a list of several MD farmer's markets here: http://baltimore.about.com/cs/food/a/aa061900a.htm

My fiance uses local honey for allergies too. Of course, he is in Baltimore, not College Park, but I'll ask him if he has any ideas about local honey. Just not now cause it's midnight. :)

Good luck!

There is a health-food store on Rte. 1 that should have local honey. Remind me to get the info for you, 'cuz I don't have it right now.

I'm wondering if Dave's Natural Market in Columbia might have any or know of where to get some...

Let me know if you need me to check them out for you!

Wow! What a great response! I'm going to try the farmer's market this weekend, and if not I'll keep digging with the info y'all are giving. :D
